Felarya: Awakenings by ~Graveripper:iconGraveripper:

The bright light began to dim, and finally diminished. Jake opened his eyes, to see what had transpired. A small green haired neko was curled up on the ground, asleep and breathing softly. Inside the crystal now laid the blue haired neko, now with the same wound that used to belong to Kally. Jake picked up Kally softly and turned to leave the cave. Suddenly his eyes glowed dark black and the voice in his head began to speak.

“I told you for my help in this matter you would have to repay me. So fortunate for you that you can do that right now.” the voice echoed in his mind.

“Wha….what? Now? What would you have me do?” Jake replied.

“Simple….,” A swirling dark portal opened up in the cave. “I want the girl.”

“NO! I just got her back, do you think I would just hand her over to you?” Jake answered angrily.

“You fool, not your precious little neko. I want the human girl, the one unconscious on the ground.” the voice spat back.

“Her…what do you want with her, what are you going to do?” Jake asked.

“That is none of your concern. But if it eases your feeble little mind, I give my word that I will not harm a hair on her pretty little head. Now, toss her into the portal…into MY domain.”

“Ugh…fine…but you said if I repay you, you said you will leave me and torment me no longer…whoever…whatever… you are.” Jake said, picking up the girl and dropping her into the swirling abyss. The portal closed immediately, and Jake felt a sharp pain in his head. After a few moments the pain stopped, and Jake knew he was free of the darkness that had latched onto him.

He turned and left the cave with Kally in hand, leaving the other neko encased in the crystal on the ground.

Kally opened her eyes, everything was so bright, it took a moment for her eyes to adjust. When she could see clearly, she made out the face of someone she knew.

“Hey there, you’re finally awake.” Jake said, looking down at the little neko in his hand and smiling. The first smile he had shown in a long, long time.

Kally looked a bit confused. She immediately put her hands down around her chest, feeling for any holes.

“But…I thought… I thought I was…” Kally spoke.

“You were…but it’s ok now, I brought you back. Don’t worry about how…all that matters is that you’re here now.”, Jake said, gently placing Kally on the forest floor.

“This…is so strange…,” Kally said. “I never thought I’d be in love with a naga…and a big one too. Funny how things turn out… I guess the size difference makes it even more awkward.”

“Well…actually there something I wanted to show you that I picked up from the fairy’s. I can’t shrink everything like they can…but…” Jake’s huge body began to shrink down at an incredible rate. Soon his body size was very close to the same as Kally’s.

Kally was speechless as she looked on with amazement.

“Well, what do you thi….WHAM” Jake was interrupted as Kally knocked him over and put him in a familiar position with her on top of him. She had a soft smile on her face. Jake tried to say something but immediately got shut down by Kally’s own mouth.

Madeline’s head felt like it had been cracked opened when she woke up. She couldn’t see anything, only darkness. She thought she must still be in the cave. She cast a small light spell in order to try and find the walls. Only no walls revealed themselves. The darkness around her seemed to just eat up the light and stretched forever.

“Madeline.”, a voice echoed from around her. Madeline frantically looked around but could see nothing.

“Who’s there! What do you want? Where am I?” She asked, still searching for anything at all, but could see only blackness.

“Madeline.”, the voice came from right behind her.

She quickly turned to see a figure, humanoid and on it’s knees. It was hunched over with it’s hands on the ground. Madeline made it out to be some sort of man, but then she noticed the huge black wings, folded in on it’s back. He tried to pick his head up to look at her, but was blinded by the light spell she had cast and was forced to look back down. Madeline noticed and dimmed the spell down.
“Are…are you an angel? Am I dead?” Madeline asked.

“Yes…yes I am…and no, you are not.” the angel replied.

“I thought angels had white wings. And…where are we if I‘m not dead?” Madeline asked innocently.

“You are in a dimension of pure shadow, and not all of us have white wings.” the angel replied.

“Well…why do you stay here…well do angel have names? What’s your name?” Madeline asked.

“My….name. My name. My name is not important. And as to why I stay here…” He lifted up his arms and showed her the two braces engraved with glowing runes that Madeline did not understand.

“So your imprisoned here? Why would someone want to lock up an angel?” Madeline asked, now very curious.

“Why…I’ve asked myself such a question many times. The only answer that makes sense to me is…because I dared to love.”

“Love doesn’t seem like a very good reason to lock someone away… those things look like they are hurting you. Let me see those…” She grabbed the angel’s arms and pulled the at the bracers. They popped open without any effort at all. The runes on the bracers vanished.”

“Well that didn’t seem very hard….” Madeline said, with a slightly puzzled look.

The angel got up slowly, looking at his now free arms. He stretched out his dark wings.

“Heh….heheheh…hehehahahahahahh…hahahahahahhahahahAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!”

He threw out his arm and out of nowhere appeared a great scythe, with blades on both ends. It was made out of material Madeline had never seen.

“Thank you my dear, I guess the least I can do is get you and me out of here.”

He held the scythe above his head, Madeline was terrified, she closed her eyes. The angel turned at the last second and cut into the darkness, which opened a rift. He grabbed Madeline and stepped through.

Then all of a sudden Madeline was back on the forest floor of Felarya. It was night. She could now make out more of the angel, he had black shoulder length hair and brown eyes, but a horrible smile on his face now. He turned to leave.

“Wait….what’s your name?” Madeline asked again.

The angel stopped. “My name…” He looked over to his scythe. “is Graveripper.”

The scythe vanished and the angel jumped up, flying off into the night sky.

Well, after all this time, that was a nice continuation. I'm looking forward to the next part.
